Heartland Restaurant Group, one of the largest Dunkin’ franchisees in the United States, operates nearly 80 locations across the Greater Tri-State Region. We are seeking a skilled Espresso Equipment Technician to support nearly 80 high-volume locations across the Greater Tri-State Region.
If you have hands-on experience with Schaerer, Eversys, or similar super-automatic espresso machines, this role is built for you.
This is not just general maintenance—we’re looking for specialists who understand coffee systems, diagnostics, and precision equipment.

What You’ll Work On
Espresso & Beverage Equipment (Primary Focus)
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain:
- Schaerer & Eversys super-automatic espresso machines
- Grinders, milk systems, steam systems, and water filtration
- Perform calibrations, preventative maintenance, and deep cleaning cycles
- Troubleshoot:
- Brew quality issues
- Pressure/temperature inconsistencies
- Electrical/mechanical faults
- Install and commission new espresso equipment
Additional Equipment (Secondary)
- Turbochef and Adamatic/Belshaw ovens
- Refrigeration systems (walk-ins, reach-ins)
- Basic plumbing and electrical systems
What We’re Looking For
Must-Have Experience
- 2+ years working on commercial espresso machines or beverage systems
- Strong preference for:
- Schaerer
- Eversys
- Franke, WMF, or similar platforms
Technical Skills
- Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems
- Understanding of:
- Boilers, pumps, grinders, and flow systems
- Preventative maintenance for high-volume coffee equipment
- Comfort working independently in the field
Bonus Points
- Factory training or certifications (Schaerer, Eversys, etc.)
- Experience in coffee chains, QSR, or high-volume environments
Day-to-Day Expectations
- Travel between locations to service and maintain equipment
- Complete work orders and communicate clearly with store teams
- Keep accurate service records and manage parts inventory
- Identify issues before they become failures
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
- Comfortable with on-call rotation, evenings, and weekends
- Ability to work in tight spaces, on rooftops, and in varying temperatures
